Benefits of choosing Tessera Point for retirement records
What You Get

A Service That Stays Within Its Scope

Tessera Point handles the clerical side of pension records and retirement documentation. We do that one thing carefully, consistently and without overstepping into areas that belong with regulated professionals.

Six Reasons Clients Choose Tessera Point

Narrow, Defined Scope

We do clerical work only. The boundary is stated clearly before any appointment.

In-Person, Kuching-Based

Every session is conducted in person. Documents are handled face-to-face, not posted or scanned remotely.

Staged Services

Three separate services match three different starting points, so you only pay for what your situation actually needs.

Condition Records Before Handling

Fragile documents are photographed before we touch them. The original state is always on record.

Family-Oriented Options

The Continuity Programme involves the whole family, not just the person whose records they are.

Local Climate Storage Advice

Storage recommendations account for Sarawak's humidity and heat, which affect paper more quickly than most households expect.

In Depth

Each Benefit Explained

Practical Experience With Retirement Documents

Sorting retirement records is not the same as sorting general paperwork. Malaysian pension documents come from multiple sources — EPF, government pension offices, past employers — and they use different formats, reference numbers and date conventions. Our team has sorted enough of these files to recognise what is present, what is likely missing, and where to look.

  • Familiarity with EPF statements, government pension correspondence and employer letters
  • Ability to date documents where the date is not on the face of the paper
  • Condition assessment before any handling begins

A Method That Moves in Stages

We do not arrive and improvise. Each service follows a defined sequence — intake, sort, label, photograph, summarise — and each guided session covers one stage only. This keeps the work from becoming overwhelming and means the client always knows what has been done and what is next.

  • Pre-appointment checklist shared with client before sorting day
  • Each session follows a fixed sequence: gather, sort, label, photograph, summarise
  • Written notes after every guided session

Direct, Unhurried Client Contact

We are a small team. Clients speak with the person who will handle their documents, not a receptionist or a call centre. Sessions are not timed at a pace that suits us — they run at a pace the client can follow.

  • Home visits available for sorting appointments within Kuching
  • One working day response to all enquiries
  • Phone available during office hours for direct questions

Fixed Prices, No Hidden Items

Our three services are priced clearly: RM 470, RM 1,180 and RM 3,900. The deliverables included in each price are listed before the client commits. If a session is running longer than the stated scope, we discuss that with the client rather than simply adding to the bill.

  • Three fixed-price services suited to different needs and budgets
  • Deliverables listed before any commitment is made
  • Scope changes discussed, not assumed

A Tangible Output at the End of Every Service

Every service ends with something physical the client can use — a labelled and organised set of documents, a guided form completion and copy set, or a master index in both print and digital format. The work is not advice; it is a product.

  • Sorting appointment: labelled sections, contents list, condition photographs, plain summary
  • Guided sessions: working folder, completed form set, copy set, tracking sheet
  • Continuity programme: master index (print and digital), update protocol, 12-month review
How We Compare

Our Approach vs. Typical Alternatives

Retirement paperwork is often handled informally, deferred, or passed to a professional whose time is billed for the full range of what they know — not just the clerical part. Here is how Tessera Point differs.

Aspect Typical Approach Tessera Point
Scope of work Often undefined or shifts during process Stated in writing before any session
Document handling Photocopied or retained without condition record Photographed before handling, returned same day
Advisory input Mixed in with clerical work, scope unclear Clerical only; advisory questions redirected explicitly
Pricing Hourly or unclear until the end Fixed price per service, deliverables listed upfront
Location Office-only or fully remote Office or home visit within Kuching
Family involvement Individual client only Family sessions available in Continuity Programme
Storage advice Generic or absent Sarawak climate-specific recommendations
What Only We Offer

Distinctive Features of Our Service

Pre-Handling Condition Photography

Before any fragile, illegible or damaged document is moved or sorted, we photograph it at high resolution. This is not standard practice in general administrative services and protects both the client and our work from dispute about original condition.

Twelve-Month Review Included in the Continuity Programme

The Family Records Continuity Programme includes a follow-up appointment one year after delivery. Most administrative services do not offer structured reviews as part of the original price.

Climate-Specific Storage Guidance

Our storage recommendations are built around Kuching's conditions — average relative humidity, seasonal temperature shifts and the specific risks those conditions pose to paper and cardboard archives. Generic guidance from the peninsula or overseas does not account for this.

Dual-Format Master Index

The master index we produce for Continuity Programme clients is delivered in both print and structured digital folder formats. The print version works when electricity is unavailable; the digital version is searchable and easy to share with family members who are not in the room.
